Visit To The Kinneret Farm - The Original Startupists

Across the road from Ohalo is the place Where It All Began

1908 saw the beginning of the Kinneret Farm, an agricultural settlement, meant to train the people of the Second Aaliyah to grow their own crops and create the seed for agricultural settlements such as Kibbutzim and Moshavim. This is where the settlers of the first Kibbutz, Dgania Aleph, got their training.

Kinneret Farm, which is located near Ohalo, was named by S.Y. Agnon, and among those who labored within its walls were Zionist superstars such as A. D. Gordon, Berl Katzenelson and even the famed poet Rachel.

This month the farm was reopened after rehabilitation of some of its buildings. We wish to visit the place for an hour, on Friday, around 11AM, and arrange a small tour of the place.

Please inform Ayelet Yagil if you are interested to participate. If visitors from abroad wish to join, the tour will be conducted in English. Visit is 15 NIS per person
