Workshops
Share your creativity!
- Drawing with objects/ with Hanoch Piven
- Lets do a drawing workshop in which there are no pencils or brushes to be found.
Only objects! anything around us and many bits and pieces are the 'drawing materials' to be used.
The lack of a traditional drawing tool will make us choose an unexplored path to express ourselves. I am going to be doing this workshop for the so called 'not artistically talented' but I am VERY curious to see what people with more developed Visual sensitivity might end up doing working with objects based collage and how we could incorporate movement (perhaps with animators) to them as well. Come play with me. - More here: http://2007.kinnernet.com/faces
- Will be attended by: ________, _________, ...

If you have a fascinating creative project that can be presented in the space by itself (standalone).
Animation & Graphics
The things our eyeballs can't afford to miss...
Animation Workshop:
friday march 16th, 14:00-16:00
Animation, the illusion of movement on film, can take many forms. From carefully painted cel-animation to elaborately rigged 3D computer generated, painstakingly slow stop-motion to the techno wonder of motion capture, animation transcends reality. Now, more than ever, the wonder of this art-form continues to inspire and entertain, and the animation industry is red hot. Want to learn more about it? How about making some? In this workshop we'll:
- Talk about what's going on:
- who are the movers and shakers?
- what are the trends?
- Watch some animation films.
- Let you make your own animation!
There will be three areas of activities:
1. Plastalina (Claymation) Workshop: Presenter Rony Oren. In this workshop there are places for 15 participants. The workshop will take place outside (providing there is no rain). Participants will have a chance to really get their hands on the plastalina (molding clay) and learn how to create characters in an easy step-by-step way. 2. Stop-motion Workshop: We will have 4-6 computer work stations that will have the necessary software programs. Participants will have an opportunity to see how stop-motion is made and work with the actual software professionals use to create films. No more than 6 participants.
3. Cutout Workshop: The cut-out program activities will be done online. This is a brand new animating program similar in style to that used by the Southpark animators that participants will get to test out. Participants are requested to bring their wireless equipped personal laptops.
Join animation leader Uri Shinar, Claymation animator Rony Oren and animators Ariel Belinko and Ronen Jeurat for what promises to be a lot of fun.
The discussion will take place on Friday the 16th 14:00-15:00, followed by the simultaneous workshops (15:00-16:00).
